Welcome to the ACBS Research Portal

ACBS

The ACBS Research Portal is aimed at facilitating research activities of therapists and researchers who collaborate in the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS). This site facilitates a Special Interest Groups (SIG) of the ACBS:

- the ACBS Research Practice: a group of researchers and ACT therapists engaged in a series of single case studies. The aim of this SIG is creating a database of methodologically sound single case studies that can be used to study the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and it's core processes. At the same time therapists are provided with 'real time' information on therapy progress. The Behavioral Collective is collaborating with third parties providing online resources for datamining, online feedback and data analysis.

To facilitate communication between members of the ACBS Research Practice, a Yahoo Listserve is created which can be found here: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/acbsresearchpractice

For more information on the SIG's, please click on the upper menu. SIG members can login in the side menu and make use of the online facilities of this site. A user menu will popup for you. For more information on contextual behavioral science, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) or Relational Frame Theory (RFT), see the official ACBS Website on www.contextualpsychology.org.

Are you an ACT therapist interested in doing Single Case research?

If you're a therapist doing ACT, and willing to help building the evidence on effectiveness and therapy processes in ACT, this is your chance! In 2010 we are planning to start with multiple single case studies which can be compiled into one database. This site will provide you with online questionnaires and methodological assistance from professional researchers.

For therapist we offer direct feedback on therapy progress as measured by standardized assessment instruments, like the DASS-21, AAQ-II, MAAS or any other measure.
